2nd Anniversary of UMCL
We are now celebrating the second anniversary of the Utah Muslim Civic League!
What started as a group of committed volunteers in 2018 was then inducted a formal Board of Directors alongside a full-time Executive Director in 2019.

Launched just before 2018 midterm elections, we started working to register Muslim voters, bring candidates to mosques to meet our community, and host phone banks on behalf of several candidates who we felt represented the values of our community.
Since then, we have continued to register Muslim voters in Utah to make sure our voices count. We have moved to sponsor community forums and town hall meetings so our community can meet candidates and pose questions to them.
“We are looking to educate and advocate for our vulnerable populations so any policymaker can understand what we stand for. We are trying to find candidates for volunteer positions in township and school districts.”
